A spectacular alpine world opens up above the Gemmi. Cliffs, wide open spaces and the changing seasons shape the bearded vulture’s habitat. On this private excursion, take time to look more closely and discover the connections between the landscape, wildlife and plants.
With your Gemmi Guide, explore the bearded vulture and its environment. We keep a lookout, observe patiently and discuss what makes this alpine bird and its surroundings special. With a little luck, a bearded vulture may soar above us. Sightings cannot be guaranteed, but there is plenty more to discover in alpine nature.
We tailor this half-day excursion to your group of up to 10 people. Whether with friends, family, a club or colleagues, there is room for your questions and interests. We arrange the date and programme individually to suit the season and conditions on the Gemmi.
Would you like to round off the experience with an aperitif or lunch? We can organise these additions by arrangement and quote for them separately.

Arrive and look around
We meet at the agreed time at the north exit of the Gemmipass upper cable car station. Your guide welcomes the group and adapts the programme to your interests and current conditions.
Observe and discover connections
Together, we explore the alpine habitat around the Gemmi. We look out for bearded vultures and take time for nature observations and your questions, exploring how the landscape, wildlife and plants are connected.
Round off the experience together
The half-day excursion ends back at the upper cable car station. An aperitif or lunch can be added on request. These services are arranged separately.
The date, meeting time and exact programme are confirmed when booking. The excursion depends on the weather, conditions and Gemmi cable car operation. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
You are interested in alpine nature and would like to take time to observe it. No previous knowledge of birds or bearded vultures is needed.
The excursion involves walking outdoors and longer observation stops. When enquiring, please tell us the participants’ ages and any limitations so that we can agree on a suitable programme.
Your private group can include up to 10 people. The excursion is available on request in any season, provided the Gemmi cable car is operating and weather and conditions permit.
CHF 400 per group of up to 10 people
The fixed guide fee covers the private half-day excursion and stays the same regardless of participant numbers within this group limit.

Preparation and personal guiding of the half-day excursion exploring the bearded vulture and its alpine habitat on the Gemmi.
Optional additions
An aperitif, lunch or other refreshments can be combined with the excursion and are quoted separately by arrangement.
Not included
Travel to and from the Gemmi, cable car, food, drinks and any other services not expressly agreed.
The advertised “from CHF 400” is the fixed base price of the excursion. Additional services increase the total price. Let us know your preferred date, group size and wishes.
Wear sturdy shoes and clothing suited to the season. The Gemmi can be cold and windy even in sunny weather. Bring a warm layer, wind and weather protection and sun protection.
Bring binoculars if you have them. If you need a pair, mention this when enquiring so that we can check availability in advance.
A drink and, if needed, a snack are useful. We will discuss any additional equipment to suit the season and agreed programme.
