Hiking in the Snow
Winter Hiking in the High Mountains

A vast, tranquil winter landscape unfolds on the Gemmi. Groomed trails lead across open snowfields and along striking rock faces. The white panorama, the crisp mountain air, and the steady crunch of your boots—and suddenly you find yourself breathing a sigh of relief.

Winter Hiking on the Gemmi

The plateau offers ideal conditions for winter hikes of varying lengths. The trails are well-marked, the snowy landscape is vast and open, and the view opens up to the surrounding peaks.

Winter hiking on the Gemmi is also a treat. The panoramic restaurant and sun terrace invite you to linger during or after your hike, with unobstructed views of the 18 four-thousand-meter peaks.

The plateau is quickly and easily accessible via the Gemmi Railway from Leukerbad.
