Half a day is enough to gain a little distance from everyday life. Up on the Gemmi, wide white landscapes, striking cliffs and fresh mountain air await. With snowshoes on your feet and your Gemmi Guide by your side, discover the winter scenery at a pace that suits your group.
We choose a shorter loop with time to look around, take photos and enjoy the surroundings. Sometimes the snow crunches underfoot; sometimes we stop and take in the silence. Time together and the beauty of the landscape are at the heart of the experience.
Whether with friends, a private group, a club or colleagues, this guided half-day tour fits easily into your stay on the Gemmi. Morning or afternoon, relaxed or a little more active: we agree on the programme with you.
If you wish, we can combine the tour with a shared meal or aperitif platter. A short escape becomes an experience you will talk about long afterwards.

Arrive
We meet at the agreed time at the Gemmipass upper cable car station. Your guide welcomes the group, checks your equipment with you and offers a short introduction to walking on snowshoes.
Head out together
We explore the snowy plateau on a shorter loop. The route, pace and breaks are adapted to your group and current conditions, with time for views, photos and conversations.
Finish with something to enjoy
Back on the Gemmi, you can extend the experience with a meal or aperitif if you wish. We are happy to organise these additions by arrangement.
The tour takes place in the morning or afternoon. We agree on the meeting time, walking time and return with you, taking the Gemmi cable car operating hours into account. Routes may be adapted to current conditions.
You enjoy being outdoors and would like to spend half a day in a winter mountain landscape. You need fitness appropriate to the agreed walking time and confidence walking on uneven ground.
A suitable tour is possible even without snowshoe experience. When enquiring, tell us about your group’s experience and whether you prefer a relaxed or more active outing. We agree on walking time, elevation gain and difficulty together.
We match the group size and number of guides to the planned route and participants’ needs. The tour depends on snow and weather conditions.
Price on request
You receive a tailored quote for your private half-day tour. The price is based on a guide fee for the agreed tour. Depending on group size and requirements, we provide additional guides. Extras such as meals or equipment hire are quoted separately.

When enquiring, tell us your preferred date, approximate group size and wishes. We will put together a suitable offer.
You need sturdy winter footwear, warm layered clothing, wind and weather protection, gloves, a hat, sunglasses and sun protection. Bring a daypack with a warm drink and food as agreed.
You will need snowshoes and poles. Your guide will clarify during planning which safety equipment, including an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe, is required for the chosen route. Please mention any equipment hire needed when enquiring.

Your Gemmi Guide knows the landscape and plans a winter escape that suits your group. Your guide chooses the route according to current conditions and leads you across the snowy plateau at a suitable pace.
You can focus on nature and your time together. Your guide keeps an eye on the terrain, weather and group, offers helpful tips along the way and leaves room for breaks, questions and special moments.
