A different world opens up at the top of the Gemmi cable car: bright snowfields, striking cliffs and the vast alpine plateau. Strap on your snowshoes, listen to the snow beneath your feet and leave everyday life a little further behind with every step.
With your Gemmi Guide, discover the winter landscape around the pass. We cross open spaces and weave between gentle snow-covered hills. We pause, let our eyes wander and take time for the little things: tracks in the snow, light on the summits or, with a little luck, a bearded vulture circling overhead.
This guided day tour belongs to you and your group. Whether a private outing, a trip with friends, a club excursion or a day with colleagues, we adapt the route, pace and breaks to you. The landscape, the pleasure of being active and the shared experience take centre stage.
Fancy sitting down together afterwards? We can add a meal or aperitif platter on the Gemmi if you wish. Tell us who you would like to bring and what matters to you. Together, we will shape your winter day.

Arrive and set off
We meet at the agreed time at the Gemmipass upper cable car station. Your guide welcomes the group, discusses the day’s programme and checks your equipment with you. After a short introduction to walking on snowshoes, we set off.
Enjoy the landscape
Our tour leads across the snowy plateau around the Gemmi. We choose the route according to your wishes, experience, snow and weather conditions. There is time for photo stops, conversations and quiet moments looking out over the mountains.
Time for a break
A picnic along the way or a stop for refreshments by arrangement: we tailor the food options to your group too. If you wish, the day ends with a shared meal or aperitif on the Gemmi.
We agree on the start time, walking time and return during planning, taking the Gemmi cable car operating hours into account. Routes may be adapted to current conditions.
You enjoy being outdoors and would like to spend a day in a winter mountain landscape. You need fitness appropriate to the agreed walking time and confidence walking on uneven ground.
A suitable tour is possible even without snowshoe experience. When enquiring, tell us about your group’s experience and whether you prefer a relaxed or more active outing. We agree on walking time, elevation gain and difficulty together.
We match the group size and number of guides to the planned route and participants’ needs. The tour depends on snow and weather conditions.
Price on request
You receive a tailored quote for your private day tour. The price is based on a guide fee for the agreed tour. Depending on group size and requirements, we provide additional guides. Extras such as meals or equipment hire are quoted separately.

When enquiring, tell us your preferred date, approximate group size and wishes. We will put together a suitable offer.
You need sturdy winter footwear, warm layered clothing, wind and weather protection, gloves, a hat, sunglasses and sun protection. Bring a daypack with a warm drink and food as agreed.
You will need snowshoes and poles. Your guide will clarify during planning which safety equipment, including an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe, is required for the chosen route. Please mention any equipment hire needed when enquiring.

Your Gemmi Guide knows the landscape and plans a winter day that suits your group. Your guide chooses the route according to current conditions and leads you across the snowy plateau at a suitable pace.
You can focus on nature and your time together. Your guide keeps an eye on the terrain, weather and group, offers helpful tips along the way and leaves room for breaks, questions and special moments.
