The extensive network of hiking trails around Leukerbad and the Gemmi is ideal for trail running at various levels of intensity. Here you’ll find steep climbs, technical sections, and spectacular alpine high-plateau trails. Fresh mountain air and seemingly endless views are included.

A challenging vertical trail that demands endurance, technique, and speed.
The Gemmi Run is considered a benchmark trail for runners. From the valley, the route follows the historic mule trail steeply upward through the Gemmiwand to 2,350 meters. Those who register at the Gemmibahn valley station before the start and meet the specified time limit (men 60 minutes, women 65 minutes) will receive a free ride down the valley and free admission to the Leukerbad Therme as a reward.
